I had been asked this question by my college professor while I was bunking the class.

This intriguing question originated from Requirements of the Base Sand topic in division Sand Moulding of Foundry and Forging

Correct option is (b) False

The best I can explain: When Natural sand is mixed with a binder such as Bentonite, the properties of the Natural Sand such as green strength, compressive strength is increased but it also retains its original properties. It becomes semi-synthetic sand.
