This question was addressed to me during an online interview.

My doubt stems from Material for Sewers in division Construction of Sewers, Sewer Appurtenances and Sewage Pumping of Environmental Engineering

Correct option is (c) H2S

For explanation I would say: The crown corrosion takes place due to the formation of H2S which takes place because of aerobic and anaerobic condition in lower layers of sewage.
