Which of the following methods can be used to reduce the BOD load in slaughter house waste water?

(a) Biological

(b) Chemical

(c) Physical

(d) Flocculation

This question was addressed to me in class test.

My doubt stems from Wastewater Treatment of Food Processing Industries in division Wastewater Treatment of Food Processing Industries of Environmental Biotechnology

Correct answer is (a) Biological

The best I can explain: Biological methods can be used to reduce the BOD load in slaughter house waste water, Chemical method can be used to reduce COD and not BOD of water, Physical method would be very tedious and not efficient, Flocculation is also a chemical treatment process.
